cover the following areas, however each workshop is unique
and has its own particular theme.
- Horse-human
relationship skills
- Mind-body
awareness
- Finding
your instinctual self
- Reflective
work with the horse
- Active
work with the horse
- Dancing
with the horse
- Working
with the energetic field of the horse
- Learning
how to be assertive
- Authentic
leadership
- Being
part of a group in a workshop setting gives you the opportunity
to learn how to effectively support others, and witness
how horses reflect to each of us our own uniqueness.
An initial private individual session with Miranda
will last at least two hours, with follow-up sessions to be
arranged to meet your needs, on an ongoing basis if necessary.
Workshops for groups run for half days, in the case of Equine
Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) taster and follow-up sessions,
and one, or two days for specialist workshops.
Miranda is also running two women’s groups, who come for regular
sessions. This is a powerful, intimate and cost effective
way to begin a long journey with the horses. It’s also possible
to book a tailor-made half or full-day workshop just for you
and your friends, which can run indefinitely.
Individual, couple or group sessions are available in Family
Systemic Work, with or without the horses and Miranda also
runs regular Constellation workshops with Annie Shaw at Lydney
Park and in Woodchester, Stroud.
Miranda also provides supervision in EFP for individuals and
groups.

Wild Women Group will be starting in April
As spring arrives with it's tender shoots are you feeling
the need to reconnect with those shoots inside of you longing
to be born?
Come and explore your wildness with a herd of horses on the
ancient land of Lydney Park Estate, with it's Roman Temple
a healing site for us all to reconnect with our earthy energies.
Lucy's experience of being part of the herd with
the women .....
"Let me give an example. And it is one of the most profoundly
healing experiences of my life and one that I hold deep within
me and am deeply grateful for. Miranda (supported by Sally)
generously gave us the opportunity to sit bareback on a horse.
My horse was Maud, her wise, maternal mare. I had longed to
sit on a horse since a single childhood ride decades ago.
The memory of feeling the strength of the horse’s back, lingered
throughout the years. I was excited as I moved onto Maud,
(in a pretty ungainly fashion), but totally taken aback when
I immediately felt myself emotionally break down, sobbing
and sobbing. I draped myself over her shoulder, prostrate.
Maud stood completely still, and I could feel her body saying,
“I’m here, I’m not going to move”. I trusted her. She gave
me what I needed. She didn’t fidget or buckle, her head did
not swish, her legs did not flinch – she was a rock for me.
What I slowly realized, (and of course Miranda knew), was
that Maud was holding me in a way my mother could never do.
I was crying the un-cried tears of the little girl who had
to be “strong” and look after her little brothers, and not
respond to her own needs. I was getting the feeling of being
held for the first time; I was also grieving for the nurturing
I didn’t get as a child. I was overwhelmed by how generous
Maud was to me – something I had been desperate for my mother
to be, and which she could not give. For me this highlighted
the importance of feeling your own truth, rather than just
trying to understand it intellectually. This is the path to
true healing. The horses seek the truth, find it and offer
it."

2nd April 2012, 1-5 p.m.

Monday 13th August 2012 1-5 p.m.

Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) Second
Follow-up Session
Thursday, May 10th @ Lydney Park, Gloucestershire, 10-2pm,
£75.
Open to eight people who have completed a taster session
and a follow-up session. We'll be looking a bit deeper at
body awareness and the effect that state-of-mind and body
language can have on the horses - and on people. Working in
the round pen, you'll see a demonstration of how to controll
a horse's direction and speed, using your energy and posture.
There's a chance to have a go yourself, and it may also be
possible to begin some ridden work, for those who want to
ride.
Constellation workshop (with the herd), Saturday
and Sunday, June 23-24 @ Lydney Park, 10am-4pm, £300.
This is an opportunity to work on a present issue in your
life or a relationship that you may feel blocked with. Using
EFP, this is a unique approach to Family Systemic Therapy
which Miranda has found to be incredibly powerful in helping
clients find what is stopping them moving forward in their
lives. Working together as a group, this is a really interesting
way to help people discover more about their place in the
family and to work through any problems that are uncovered
as a result.
Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) Taster.
Friday, June 29 @ Lydney Park, Gloucestershire, 2-6pm, £75.
Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) Follow-up
