Miranda Carey’s Biography

Three years ago I started training in Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy at the Epona Center in Arizona, U.S.A. In October 2006 I graduated from the Epona Apprenticeship Programme founded by Linda Kohanov author of the Tao of Equus & Riding Between the Worlds in partnership with Counselor Kathleen Barry Ingram, MA. Bringing horses and their instinctual wisdom into my work gives me a feeling of coming home as I now offer clients a therapeutic approach which works with the mind, body and spirit.

I have been practising as a Psychotherapeutic Counselor and Supervisor for the past fifiteen years, working in the areas of youth, addiction, relationships, bereavement, disability, sexuality and fertility.

I currently run a private practice in the Forest of Dean providing psychotherapeutic counselling and supervision for individuals, couples and groups. I also run individual and group workshops in Family
systemic work and Equine facilitated Psychotherapy.
